A spirited little place with lots of character, I chose it as a midway meeting point between Silicon Valley and Berkeley. The food menu is creative with simple ingredients, nice combinations and good preparation. The coffee menu is superb, I had the peppermint patty: medium roast (instead of dark) with cocoa powder (a bit like a mocha), with fresh peppermint, á la mint tea, cream and sweet ground candy sprinkle! It was fantastic and I ended up ordering another one for the drive home!

Hippie's Brew is definitely one of my favorite coffee shop. Any time I am in the area, I have to go get myself some coffee from here (honestly, sometimes I get myself two cups). My favorite is the Iced Mint Drip. They put the mint into your cup so the flavor is strong and fresh. I always get it semisweet which is just the right amount of sweetness.

I had never heard of this place until my hair cut guy pointed it out. I went here for just the intent of grabbing a coffee, having a conversation for a few minutes and leave. That was done smoothly, and easily because there was not to many people inside this small building, and the coffee experts made the coffee in a good amount of time.
